After averaging 29 points per game last week, Ball State men’s basketball junior guard Armoni Zeigler has been named the Pridemark Construction Student-Athlete of the Week.
Zeigler tied a career high with 30 points at Akron on Tuesday before tallying 28 points, seven rebounds and four assists in Friday night's 76-71 win over Ohio. The 30-point game was the first by a Ball State player in five years, and Zeigler kept the momentum going with 20 points in the first half on Friday vs. Ohio to help build a 44-31 halftime lead for the Cardinals.
Zeigler hit a crucial shot with 1:07 to go in the game to give Ball State a 71-68 lead that helped the Cardinals close out the home win.
With the pair of solid efforts, Zeigler became the first MAC player to score 25+ points twice in the same week against MAC opponents this season.
