Men's Basketball Signs Vermont Transfer Sean Blake
May 07, 2026 | Men's Basketball
The Ball State men's basketball team and head coach Chris Capko have announced the addition of Vermont transfer Sean Blake to the program.
The 6-foot-2 guard from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada will be a junior as he joins the team ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Blake played in each of the 34 games for the Catamounts in 2025-26, starting in 27, and averaged 9.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 28.6 minutes per game. The assists average ranked third in the America East Conference. Blake shot 46.8 percent (124-265) from the field and 35.2 percent (19-54) on 3-pointers as a sophomore at Vermont.
As a freshman with the Catamounts, Blake tallied 4.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game and was named to the America East All-Rookie Team. The guard played in all 33 games and averaged 15.1 minutes of court time per game while shooting 40.5 percent (51-126) on field goals.
This is Ball State's eighth incoming transfer of the offseason after K'Jei Parker (UMass), Aaron Fine (Purdue), Javion Guy-King (Central Arkansas), Jaden Smith (Saint Joseph's), Trey Lewis (Western Michigan), Babatunde Durodola (Temple), and Jazz Henderson Jr. (Texas Tech) signed with the team earlier.
