Men's Basketball Signs Texas Tech Transfer Jazz Henderson Jr.

The Ball State men's basketball team and head coach Chris Capko have announced the addition of Texas Tech transfer Jazz Henderson Jr. to the program.

The 5-foot-11 guard from Dallas, Texas will be a redshirt sophomore as he joins the team ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Henderson Jr. played in 13 games in 2025-26 and tallied 11 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals for the Red Raiders as a redshirt freshman after redshirting the 2024-25 campaign.

In high school, Henderson Jr. was a three-time state champion at Oak Cliff Faith Family where he averaged 14 points and 7 assists per game as a senior.

Academically, Henderson Jr. plans on studying business and finance at Ball State.

This is Ball State's seventh incoming transfer of the offseason after K'Jei Parker (UMass), Aaron Fine (Purdue), Javion Guy-King (Central Arkansas), Jaden Smith (Saint Joseph's), Trey Lewis (Western Michigan), and Babatunde Durodola (Temple) signed with the team earlier.
