For her effort at the Pacesetter Invitational, Ball State junior high jumper Malina Miller has been named the Pridemark Construction Student-Athlete of the Week.
Miller held off teammate Nina Garner to win the high jump at the competition Saturday. Miller and Garner both cleared their final height at 1.71m, but Miller only needed one try compared to two by Garner.
Miller's jump ranks fourth in the MAC and ninth in the Great Lakes Region.
