Men’s Tennis Completes 7-0 Sweep Over Binghamton

MUNCIE, Ind. - A great start in doubles action put the Cardinals on the winning track today in its second to last match of the season as Ball State (16-5, 5-4 MAC) defeated Binghamton (0-6, 0-6 MAC) Saturday afternoon at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center by a score of 7-0.
The Ball State duo of Eli Herran and Bryce Bonin were the first twosome off the court at the No. 3 position. Herran and Boning only gave up one game to Binghamton's Adi Ben and Luke Karniewich, winning the match 6-1. On the top court, Danilo Kovacevic and Chris Adams secured the doubles point with their 6-4 defeat over Michael Pawlowicz and Shourya Verma.
After that, the Cardinals dominated singles play taking all six courts from the Bearcats with five of those competitions being decided in straight sets.
Kovacevic earned match point for Ball State today with his 6-4, 6-0 take down against Binghamton's No. 1 player Pawlowicz.
The Ball State men's tennis team will close out its 2021 spring season on Sunday against Buffalo with a Noon start at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center.
Prior to the start of tomorrow's contest, the Cardinals will pay tribute to their four seniors, Chris Adams, Bryce Bonin, Khamasi Muhiga and Alec Robillard.
