What is the difference between the Cardinal Excellence Fund and a Sport Championship Fund gift?
A Sport Championship Fund gift goes directly to the fund of the sport of your choosing, supporting needs determined by the coach with approval from the Athletic Director. However, a gift to the Cardinal Excellence Fund has an even broader impact. It provides critical funding for all budgetary aspects of the Athletic Department, ensuring that every team and student-athlete has the resources they need to succeed. Your support of the Cardinal Excellence Fund helps sustain and enhance the overall excellence of Ball State Athletics.

Additionally, season ticket holders for Football, Basketball, and Volleyball enjoy exclusive game day perks, making your experience even more rewarding.
When do my Cardinal Varsity Club benefits expire?
CVC benefits run from July 1 – June 30 each year. Before your benefits expire, we will reach out with details on the renewal process for the upcoming drive year, ensuring you don’t miss out on continued support and exclusive membership opportunities.
Can I buy additional parking passes for football and basketball?
Yes! Donors will have the opportunity to purchase additional parking passes near the start of each season. Communication will be sent out with these details when this option becomes available.
Can someone who doesn't have season tickets buy a parking pass?
Yes! During football season, non-season ticket holders can purchase a Green parking pass on a game-by-game basis for the tailgate lot. However, there are no parking pass options available for non-season ticket holders during basketball season.
Do benefits apply per person or will benefits apply to my who household?
Benefits apply to your entire family or household. Each level has limits regarding ticketing and pre-game hospitality. For more information on those, please see our Cardinal Varsity Club Brochure. Benefits can also be owned by a corporation or business.
Are Cardinal Varsity Club donations tax-deductible?
Under the federal law, effective January, 1, 2018, the portion of a contribution that qualifies a donor for seating privileges is no longer tax-deductible. Gifts made to the Cardinal Varsity Club for which a donor waives privileges, maintain the potential for tax-deductibility. Please consult your tax advisor for these options.
