Swimming and Diving Women Place 17 on Academic All-MAC Team

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Mid-American Conference announced the women's swimming and diving Academic All-MAC Team Friday, and Ball State University claimed 17 spots on that list.
"I couldn't be more proud of our team," said head coach J. Agnew. "They put in a ton of hard work in the pool and in the classroom, and it's nice to see that hard work recognized."
All student-athletes that made the team have achieved at least a 3.2 GPA while participating in more than half of the contests this past season. The MAC announced that 129 student-athletes were recognized. Of the 17 that were from Ball State, 13 were swimmers and four were divers.
Anne Vormohr has the highest GPA on the team with a 3.96 and is followed closely by Sophie Bader who achieved a 3.95. A full list of all honorees can be viewed below.
Diving coach Nick Gayes added, "Being a student-athlete is not easy, but it is even more impressive to see what they are accomplishing in the classroom in addition to the pool. They take their academics very seriously and it shows. I'm inspired every day by how they balance their school and training loads and can perform at such a high level in both."
