
No. 10 Lewis, No. 7 Loyola Await on Challenging MIVA Road Trip

MUNCIE, Ind. – The No. 12 Ball State men's volleyball team has faced seven ranked opponents this season, and will challenge two more this weekend as it travels to take on No. 10 Lewis and No. 7 Loyola in a tough pair of MIVA matchups on Friday and Saturday.

THE CARDINALS (7-5, 1-1)
Ball State enters a critical conference weekend with a win over No. 13 George Mason under its belt. The Cardinals are currently the No. 12 team in the country and have won five of their last six matches. True freshman Kaleb Jenness continues to lead the way for BSU with 153 kills on the year.
ABOUT LEWIS (9-4, 2-0)
No. 10 Lewis holds a 2-0 record in conference play as one of the teams atop the MIVA standings. The Flyers swept matches against Lindenwood and Quincy last week to get off to a hot start in league play. Ryan Coenen has 126 kills to lead Lewis on the year.
SERIES HISTORY
Ball State and Lewis have met 61 times with just one match separating the two. Ball State holds a slight, 31-30, lead in the all-time series with the Flyers. Lewis took home a 3-0 victory last time the schools met on March 24, 2018.

No. 7 Loyola also enters the week 2-0 in the MIVA, but will face Purdue Fort Wayne on Friday before Saturday's contest with Ball State. The Ramblers are winners of three straight and are led by Collin Mahan's 150 kills.

Loyola owns a 32-23 lead in the series with the Cardinals. The Ramblers won the las meeting between the two schools, 3-1, on April 18, 2018.
