Women’s Golf Heads East for Kingsmill Intercollegiate

The Ball State women's golf team begins a busy week Monday with the opening day of William & Mary's Kingsmill Intercollegiate.
The Cardinals will play 36 holes Monday on the River Course at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia. The final 18 holes will be played Tuesday. Live scoring is available throughout at birdiefire.com.
The large field includes 22 teams: Akron, Ball State, Bethune-Cookman, Central Connecticut, Delaware, Fairleigh Dickinson, Illinois State, James Madison, Lehigh, Longwood, Marshall, UMKC, Navy, Penn, Radford, Richmond, Sacred Heart, St. Francis (Pa.), St. John's, Towson, Wagner and William & Mary.
Ball State competed last week at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Hawaii, where Kelsey Sear, Manon Tounalom and Allison Lindley led the team with top-40 finishes among a field of nationally ranked teams.
All three players posted under-par rounds during the event, including a 3-under 68 in the final round by Tounalom. It was the second-best round in program history.
The Kingsmill Intercollegiate is the first of two tournaments this week for Ball State. The team will head to Richmond, Kentucky, later in the week for the EKU Colonel Classic.
