Women’s Golf Ready for Loaded Field in Hawaii

Cardinals to compete alongside 10 of nation’s top 100 teams

The Ball State women's golf team continues its spring season this week with a trip to the Aloha State. The Cardinals will tee it up starting Tuesday at Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course in Oahu along with some of the nation's best.
The 16-team field for the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational includes 10 of the top 100 teams in the Golfstat rankings, seven of the top 50 and five of the top 25. Wake Forest headlines the field at No. 13, followed by Texas A&M (16), Oklahoma State (19), Texas (21) and NC State (24).
North Carolina (34), SMU (37), Washington State (61), Idaho (64) and Texas State (85) round out the top-100 teams. The field also includes Georgia State, Hawaii, Hawaii-Hilo, New Mexico and UTEP.
The action gets underway Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. local time (2 p.m. ET). The teams will play 36 holes on the first day and the final 18 on Wednesday. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
Freshman Manon Tounalom has led Ball State in both spring tournaments so far, placing fifth at the Cardinals' Sunshine Invitational in Port St. Lucie, Florida, and 25th at Western Michigan's Rio Verde Invitational in Arizona.
Tounalom will again be joined in the lineup this week by Allison Lindley, Kelsey Sear, Morgan Nadaline and Sydney Anderson.
