For her play during soccer’s opening week of play, senior forward Avery Fenchel has been named the Pridemark Construction Student-Athlete of the Week.
Fenchel scored the first three goals of the 2023 season for the Cardinals, netting her first career hat trick while guiding the team to a 5-1 victory over Mercyhurst last Thursday.
The Mid-American Conference scoring leader after opening weekend, Fenchel also climbed to sixth in program history with 16 career goals.
In addition to leading the MAC over opening week, Fenchel's three goals tied for eighth nationally.
