Five Soccer Student-Athletes Named Academic All-District

The Ball State women's soccer team had five student-athletes recognized with Academic All-District honors by the College Sports Communicators.
Delaney Ahearn, Delaney Caldwell, Addie Chester, Annika Klaus and Emily Roper were awarded with the recognition by the CSC. Caldwell, Chester and Roper have each received the honor multiple times.
In order to be eligible for Academic All-District, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade-point average and compete in at least 90 percent of the team's games or start in at least 66 percent of the team's games. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically to be eligible.
Ahearn is a general studies major who played the most minutes on the team (1,806) this season while starting in all 20 games as a defender.
Caldwell is pursuing an elementary education degree and scored four goals while starting in every game at forward this season. The senior wrapped up her collegiate career with 20 goals and 15 assists for the Cardinals.
Chester, the 2025 Mid-American Conference Forward of the Year, is an accounting major who paced the MAC with 11 goals and added five assists for 27 total points. The senior finished her career in Muncie with 21 goals and 13 assists in two seasons.
Klauss is studying biology and played in 19 games this year at forward. She scored a goal in the Oct. 12 win over Akron and took 11 total shots (four on goal) for the season.
Roper is a finance major who finished third on the team in both goals and assists with three of each while playing in 20 games. The senior concluded her Ball State career tallying 14 goals and seven assists.
