2023 OUTDOOR: Competed in seven meets … placed sixth in the 400m at the Blizzard Buster (Mar. 17) with a time of 1:00.44 … placed second in the 400m at the Margaret Simmons Invite (Mar. 25) with a time of 56.61 … ran a season-best in the 200m with a time of 25.33 at the Joe Walker Invitational (Apr. 7) … helped the team place third in the 4x400m with a collective time of 3:50.46, placed third in the 400m with a time of 56.81 and placed sixth in the 200m with a time of 24.78 at the BSU We Fly Challenge (Apr. 14) … placed sixth in the 400m at the Jesse Owens Track & Field Classic (Apr. 22) with a time of 56.28 … helped the team place second in the 4x400m relay with a collective time of 3:44.93 and ran a season-best with a seventh-place finish in the 400m with a time of 55.64 at the Music City Challenge (Apr. 29) … helped the team place fourth in the 4x400m with a collective time of 3:34.28 and placed sixth in the 400m with a time of 56.09 at the Mid-American Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 13).

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letterwinner at Rich Township High School … earned all-conference recognition as a senior while competing primarily in the 400-meter and 200-meter dashes … was a team captain all four years and earned team MVP recognition during junior and senior campaigns … finished in the top nine at the state meet in the 400-meter dash as a senior … also led 4x200-meter relay to second-place finish at the state meet as a junior … also spent time on the varsity cheer team all four years … was an honors student in all four years of high school.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Xazavian and Jamese Valladay … has four siblings: Xazavian Jr., Taylor, Grace and Hannah … brother, Xazavian Jr., plays football at Arizona State as a running back after becoming the second-leading rusher in program history at Wyoming … sister, Taylor, plays basketball at Virginia … plans to major in pre-med with a focus in biology … chose Ball State because of the welcoming environment of the track program and the medical program.
