Men's Golfers Suspend Play During Second Round in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Samuel Harris led Ball State through 32 holes on Saturday, completing the first round and most of the second before play was suspended at the Hoosier Collegiate Invitational.
Harris, a freshman from Southern Indiana not far from the par-71 Pfau Course, was 2-over par through 14 holes in the second round when play ended at 8 p.m., Saturday. Play resumes at 8:45 a.m., Sunday morning. The third and final round will play continuous, following conclusion of round two.
Harris shot 6-over 77 in the first round, and followed with 11 of 14 holes of par or better in the second round. He begins play Sunday on hole No. 10. He overcame a pair of double bogeys in the first round to lead the Cardinals in the opening 18 holes.
While Harris sits at +8 overall, Happy Gilmore is next on the Cardinals' leaderboard at +11. Avery Mahoney is +16, Aidan Gutierrez is +17, Gavin Hare is at +18 and Carter Smith is +25.
