Said Ball State coach Mike Fleck: "Gavin is another guy that's got some tremendous tools in his toolbox. I think for Gavin, he's got to believe in himself a little bit more and go out and compete and let those assets propel him to playing the best golf he's capable of playing. I think there's a lot more with Gavin that we haven't seen yet, but he's fully capable. He came in as a freshman last fall and really pushed an experienced group of seniors. He got himself in the top five a few times. I'd like to see him recreate that."
