
Eli Herran Earns CSC Academic All-America Third Team Honors

MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State's Eli Herran earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Third Team. Herran was the only men's tennis student-athlete from the Mid-American Conference to be named to a team this year.
Herran primarily played at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions along with competing at the No. 3 slot in doubles. Herran led the Cardinals this season with a 14-5 dual mark and a 7-3 MAC ledger. Herran and his doubles partner Sajin Smith also led the team in doubles victories with a 7-6 overall record while going 6-4 in league play.Â
A two-time second team All-Mid-American Conference honoree, Herran finished his career ranked seventh all-time in singles victories at Ball State with 96 wins.Â
Herran earned a degree in information and communication sciences from Ball State with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
