Cardinals Set to Fly at Redbird Fall Invitational in Season Opener

MUNCIE, Ind – The Ball State women's golf team begins the 2022-23 campaign on Sunday, Sept. 11, in the Redbird Fall Invitational. The tournament will be two rounds on Sunday, followed by a single round on Monday. The Weibring Golf Club is a par-72, 6,022 course in Normal, Illinois.
The Cardinals will feature two returners in Kiah Parrott and Payton Bennett, along with four newcomers in Sarah Gallagher, Madelin Boyd, Jasmine Driscoll, and Paige Hillman. This tournament will be the first for new Head Coach Cameron Andry.
"I couldn't be more excited to get the season started this weekend," said Coach Andry. "We have a young group with several new faces, but we're having a lot of fun. They're all working hard, so I look forward to seeing our progress throughout the season."
Ball State will be joined by host Illinois State, Bowling Green, Bradley, Butler, Drake, Eastern Kentucky, Evansville, Indiana State, IUPUI, Loyola, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, Southern Indiana, and Valparaiso.
Ball State will be paired with Butler and Loyola. Sunday is a shotgun start with the Cardinals' groups starting on holes 7-9. Bennett will be competing as an individual and she will start on 16.
