Parrott Tied for Eighth, Cardinals Finished in 10th

NORMAL, Ill. – Kiah Parrott led the Cardinals at the Redbird Fall Invitational as she tied for eighth and BSU placed 10th. The Ball State women's golf team closed out the first event of the 2022-23 campaign on Monday from the Weibring Golf Club.
"Our youth and inexperience caught up to us this week, but we'll learn from it and be better for it," said Head Coach Cameron Andry. "We know the destination and this week was just the start of the journey."
Parrott finished the tournament with a final-round score of 73 (+1). She recorded three birdies for the day and moved her tournament total to eight. Her three-round mark of 224 (+8) moved her up eight spots on the leaderboard into a tie for eighth.
Jasmine Driscoll climbed four spots in the individual standings with a tournament total of 232 (+16). In the final round, she notched a birdie and finished with a 77 (+5). She posted five birdies across the three rounds.
Sarah Gallagher produced a round of 82 (+10) for the final round. She tied for 47th with a mark of 236 (+20). She tallied five birdies for the tournament.
Payton Bennett tied for 65th and collected four birdies for the three days. Madelin Boyd moved up two spots on the leaderboard with a final-round score of 79 (+7) with two birdies. Paige Hillman finished the invitational in 79th.
The Cardinals return to the course on Monday, Sept. 19, for the Brittany Kelly Cardinal Classic. The three-round tournament will be played at The Players Club at Woodland Trails.
