Parrott Leads Cardinals on Day One of Redbird Fall Invitational
September 11, 2022 | Women's Golf
NORMAL, Ill. – The Ball State women's golf team kicked off the 2022-23 campaign at the Redbird Fall Invitational on Sunday. Kiah Parrott led the Cardinals on day one and is tied for 16th heading into the final round.
BSU is currently in 10th with a combined score of 622 (+46).
"We took some lumps in the opening round today, but that wasn't entirely surprising considering the youth and inexperience of our lineup," said Head Coach Cameron Andry. "However, there were a lot of positives to take away in the second round as we made some adjustments and showed some grit. We'll get after it again tomorrow! I'm not worried about where we are now as long as we learn from each experience."
Parrott started the day with four birdies and a score of 74 (+2). She was tied for 12th at the end of round one. She added a birdie in round two and finished with a mark of 77 (+5). Her two-round total of 151 (+7) has her in a tie for 16th.
Sarah Gallagher posted an opening-round of 79 (+7) in her Ball State debut. She finished with two birdies. She added a birdie in the second round and notched a mark of 75 (+3). She is tied for 29th with a two-round tally of 154 (+10).
