MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State men's golf team returned to the course for day one of the Earl Yestingsmeier on Friday at the Delaware Country Club. Joey Ranieri posted a round of 64 (-6) and is in second as the tournament heads to the final day. The Cardinals sit in second with a combined score of 561 (+1).
Kash Bellar shot a 62 (-8) in the morning round and was tied for first after he set a tournament and course record. He also set a school record for single round with a 62 and tied the relative to par record at -8.
Ranieri started the day with a 69 (-1). He birdied the par-4 11th and the par-4 17th. He was tied for ninth after round one. In the afternoon round, he produced the lowest score of the round with a 64 (-4). He tallied four birdies and an eagle in the afternoon. He is currently in second with a combined mark of 133 (-7). He has six birdies and an eagle for the tournament.
Bellar birdied eight holes in the morning during his historic round. He started the second round on fire with a birdie and an eagle. He added another birdie on the back nine and finished with a 72 (+2). He is in third place with a tally of 134 (-6). He has 10 birdies and an eagle through two rounds. He is competing as an individual and his score will not count towards the team score.
Evan Bone started the day with a birdie on his first hole and added a birdie on the par-4 seventh. He posted a round of 70 (E) and was tied for 17th after the morning round. During his second round, he notched five birdies and finished with a 72 (+2). His two-round score of 142 (+2) has him tied for 20th. He has seven birdies for the tournament.
Ali Khan compiled five birdies in the opening round and finished with a 70 (E). He was tied for 17th heading into the second round. In the second round, he birdied the par-4 17th and posted a score of 72 (+2). He is tied for 20th overall with a combined score of 142 (+2). He has six birdies for the tournament.
Joey Wiseman began the day with five birdies in the first round and was tied for 41st with a 73 (+3). He opened the second round with a birdie on the par-4 ninth and recorded a 71 (+1). He was tied for 29th after two rounds with a 144 (+4). He has six birdies for the tournament.
Colin Nasser birdied his second hole of the day which was the par-4 third. He finished the round with a 75 (+5) and was tied for 52nd. He added three birdies in the second round and posted a mark of 73 (+3). He jumped up six spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 46th with a 148 (+8). He has four birdies for the day.
After two birdies in the opening round, Griffin Hare was tied for 41st with a 73 (+3). He added a birdie on the par-3 third in the second round and notched a score of 75 (+5). He is in a tie for 46th with a 148 (+8). He has collected three birdies for the tournament. He is competing as an individual and will not be counted for the team score.
Carson Orr notched back-to-back birdies on the par-4 third and par-5 fifth on his way to an opening round of 82 (+6). He was tied for 77th after the first round. He posted one birdie on the par-4 ninth in the second round and finished with a 75 (+5). He moved up four spots in the standings with a combined score of 157 (+17) into a tie for 75th. He has three birdies for the tournament. He is competing as an individual and will not be counted towards the team score.
Drew Todd opened the tournament with an 82 (+12) after he posted two birdies. He was tied for 77th after the first round. In the afternoon round, he added two more birdies and finished with a 77 (+7). He climbed two spots in the standings into a time for 75th with a two-round tally of 159 (+19).
