2019-20 (So.): Played in all seven events and all 18 stroke play rounds … ranked second on the team with a 73.00 stroke average … season was cut short when the last four spring tournaments, including the MAC Championships, were canceled because of COVID-19 … ended the season as the MAC’s No. 7-ranked golfer by Golfweek … had an overall head-to-head record of 316-150-17 … carded a team-best nine rounds of even-par or better (half of his rounds), including five rounds in the 60’s … had four top-25 finishes in six stroke play starts … recorded his best career finish with a tie for second out of 93 golfers at the season-opening Golfweek Conference Challenge … helped BSU to a 15-stroke team victory at the event and an initial Golfweek national ranking of No. 20, the program’s best ever … made only one bogey for the tournament on his way to a career-best 54-hole total of 209 (-7) … named MAC Golfer of the Week for that performance … matched his career-low score with a 68 (-4) in round one of the Golfweek event and bettered it in the next tournament with a 67 (-4) in round two of the Trinity Forest Invitational … tied for 12th at the Marquette Intercollegiate at Erin Hills, 23rd at Trinity Forest and 24th at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate … went 2-1-0 at the Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play at the No. 2 spot in the lineup.
2018-19 (Fr.): Named MAC Freshman of the Year, becoming just the second BSU golfer to win the award and the first since Tyler Merkel in 2011 … set a BSU freshman record with his 73.70 scoring average, breaking Merkel’s mark of 74.00 … competed in the final nine events as part of the Ball State lineup and logged a total of 23 stroke play rounds … had two top-10 finishes – the Butler Spring Invitational (T-4) and the Musketeer Classic (T-9) – and four top-25 results … fired a season-best round of 68 (-4) to open the Boilermaker Invitational … also carded three scores of 69 on the year, including back-to-back rounds at the Mason Rudolph Championship … posted his season-best 54-hole mark of 212 at the Rudolph and finished 1 under par at both that event and the Boilermaker … carded seven rounds of par or better on the year.
HIGH SCHOOL: Competed in the IHSAA state finals all four years of his high school career and finished in the top 10 in each of his final three appearances … placed third in the state finals as a senior, one shot out of a playoff … a three-time all-state selection … runner-up at his sectional as a junior and twice finished third at the regional level … registered 14 top-10 finishes in 17 junior events in the year before signing with Ball State … won the Amelia National Junior Shootout and the Golfweek Junior Tour event at the Golf Club of Dublin in 2017 … placed fourth at the Indiana Boys State Junior Championship over in 2017 … came to Ball State as the seventh-highest rated junior player in the state of Indiana.
