Men’s Golf Finishes Third At Dayton Flyer Invite

KETTERING, Ohio - The Ball State men's golf team closed out its 2021 fall season with a third-place finish at the Dayton Flyer Invite Tuesday afternoon on the NCR Country Club's South Course.
Joey Ranieri had another impressive two days of golf, as he led the Cardinals with a sixth-place finish after carding a score of 214 (+1) in the 54-hole event. Ranieri moved up three spots from yesterday's two rounds.
Freshman Ali Khan, who was tied for second coming into today's final 18 holes, wrapped the tournament tied for a 10th-place finish. Khan led all players in the opening two rounds with eight total birdies. Khan's total score for the event was 216 (+3).
It was a career day for Joey Wiseman after shooting a 68 today in his final round. Wiseman ended with a 16th place showing at 219 (+6).
The Ball State men's golf team will return to the course this spring when it hosts the Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play at the Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club in Dade City, Fla. (Feb. 7-8).
