
Two Ball State Field Hockey Alumnae Earn Head Coaching Positions

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball State field hockey alumnae Devanny Kuhn Boisvert and Alexis (Lexi) Kavanaugh have earned head coaching positions at Bellarmine and Rhodes College, respectively.
Kuhn Boisvert started 76 games for the Cardinals from 2008-11, tallying 29 goals and 11 assists for a total of 69 points. She led the team with a career-high 15 goals as a junior in 2010. Kuhn Boisvert was a three-time All-Mid-American Conference selection, earning first-team honors in each of her final two seasons. She was also an Academic All-MAC honoree.
Prior to Kuhn Boisvert's head coach appointment at Bellarmine, she served as an assistant coach with the Knights. She joined the staff as an assistant in 2013 and served as the interim head coach this past fall.
Kavanaugh will begin her first head coaching appointment at Rhodes College this year. She recently served at LIU Brooklyn as a graduate assistant coach. Prior to that, she was an assistant coach at Colgate.
At Ball State, Kavanaugh appeared in all 71 games over her four-year career from 2013-16. She recorded 25 goals, eight assists and 58 total points for the Cardinals. Kavanaugh was tabbed the MAC Rookie of the Year after registering seven goals as a freshman and went on to earn All-MAC Second Team honors twice. She led the Cardinals with seven goals as a junior and 14 points as a senior.
