Vandevoorde Earns All-MAC Freshman Team Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Freshman Jade Vandevoorde has been named to the All-Mid-American Conference Freshman Team, as announced by the league office Tuesday (Nov. 4). This is the first time since 2022 the Cardinals have placed a member on the All-MAC Freshman Team.
"I am extremely proud of Jade, and not surprised, that she earned a spot on the All-MAC Freshman team," Ball State head field hockey coach Caitlin Walsh said. "It is a well-deserved honor and a testament to her hard work, grit, and passion for the game. She has made an incredible mark in her first year, I am proud of her growth, and excited for her future here at Ball State."
Vandevoorde has started and played in every game this season. Vandevoorde was second on the team in goals with three while also registering 22 shots and 15 shots on goal for the Cardinals.
Vandevoorde scored her first collegiate goal at UC Davis on Sept. 5. She also found the back of the cage against Lock Haven (Sept. 14) and Central Michigan (9/26). Vandevoorde also dished out a team high four assists while earning 10 points for BSU this season.
