For his record-breaking performance in football’s win over Stony Brook, fourth-year quarterback Keldric Luster has been named the Pridemark Construction Student-Athlete of the Week.
Ball State football’s first MAC Offensive Player of the Week since 2023 for the performance, Luster broke the Ball State passing record for completion percentage by a QB with at least 30 attempts, passing 27-of-32 for 256 yards and three touchdowns in the 41-17 win over the Seawolves.
Luster's .844 completion percentage matches the second-best among FBS QBs over the first two weeks of the season. In addition, his three passing TDs, all in the first half, were the most by a Ball State QB the past two seasons. Luster amassed 270 yards in total offense, in what was just the second start of his college career.
