2021-22 (Junior): Earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association Academic honors … participated in five singles and four doubles matches for the Cardinals …. posted a 4-1 singles mark with wins over Cleveland State (3/5/22), UC San Diego (3/9/22), Northern Illinois (4/22/22) and Buffalo (4/30/22) … helped the Cardinals win the Mid-American Conference regular season and tournament titles along with their third trip to the NCAA Tournament.
2020-21 (Sophomore): Earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association Academic honors … competed in seven total matches for the Cardinals … made first appearance of the season on court five for Ball State at Notre Dame (1/29/21) … earned straight set victories against Oakland (2/24/21) and IUPUI (3/5/21) … helped Ball State earn the 2021 Mid-American Conference regular season championship … played at the No. 6 singles position at the NCAA Tournament against No. 28 Vanderbilt (5/7/21).
2019-20 (Freshman): Joined the Cardinals in the spring of 2020 … had one of the best dual marks on the team with a 7-2 record … posted a 2-0 ledger at position five and a 5-2 mark on court six … registered first collegiate victory in a two set take down against Northern Iowa (2/14/20) … closed spring play with a four-match win streak from Feb. 28-March 5 against Northern Kentucky (2/28/20), Murray State (2/29/20), UC San Diego (3/4/20) and UC Riverside (3/5/20) … posted a 5-2 ledger at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles spots with teammates Rebecca Herrington and Amy Kaplan … helped the Cardinals to one of their best spring starts with a 10-2 record prior to the the COVID-19 pandemic.
Club Tennis: Desai has also had a successful United State Tennis Association (USTA) career, reaching the semifinals of the girls 18 doubles at the 2019 Midwest Closed junior championships and the 2016 semifinal round at the UTSA girls 16 singles national level three championships ... prior to Ball State Desai ranked 148th in the country for the class of 2020 and No. 4 in the state of Indiana, according to tennisrecruiting.net.
