MUNCIE, Ind. – Two more members of the Ball State men's volleyball program have earned national team selections for competitions this summer. Basilio and the Canadian U21 roster will compete at the U21 NORCECA Pan American Cup which takes place Aug. 5-10 at the Seven Chiefs Sportsplex near Calgary, Alberta. The U21 World Championships then take place Aug. 19 – Sept. 1 in Jiangmen, China. In his freshman season with the Cardinals, Basilio started in seven matches, including a season-high 10 kills and four blocks in a single game against Lindenwood (March 1). Basilio averaged 1.08 kills and 0.94 digs per set throughout the campaign.

In his senior year at St. Cloud High School, Cayaban helped the Bulldogs to a FHSAA 3A District Championship Semifinal appearance as he averaged 3.5 kills per set, 2.72 service aces per set and one dig per set.
