Wil is the son of Gene and Karen Basilio. Wil has three brothers, Ben, Nic, and Chris. He is majoring in exercise science with a pre-physical therapy concentration.

What sport would you be playing if you were not playing volleyball: Baseball
2025: Started seven-of-26 matches played … made his first collegiate appearance during the season opener versus Wabash (Jan. 3) … earned a season-high 10 kills and four blocks against Lindenwood (March 1) … averaged 1.08 kills per set, totaling 83 … recorded a season-high 12 digs at Quincy (March 4), finishing the season with 72 along with five service aces and 24 total blocks ... selected to the 2025 U21 Men’s Canadian National Team.
High School/Club: Prior to Ball State, Wil was a two-time Canadian club national champion, provincial champion, and provincial All-Star. Additionally, Wil was recognized with 2024 National MVP honors. Wil is a member of the Volleyball Canada National Excellence Program.
