MVB Welcomes Assistant Coach Bridget Quisberth

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State men's volleyball program welcomes a brand-new addition to its coaching staff with the signing of assistant coach Bridget Quisberth in preparation for the 2027 season.
"Bridget brings strong player development skills and great energy that will impact our program in a positive way," head coach Mike Iandolo stated. "She is a great fit, and I am excited to have her, and her family join us at Ball State!"
In her third year as head coach of the men's program at Santa Barbara City College (SBCC) in 2026, Quisberth led the Vaqueros to its first conference championship since 2005 while posting 19 wins – the program's highest win total in 36 years. Quisberth guided the development of one American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American and six all-conference players while capturing her second-straight coach of the year honor.
After taking over the program in 2024, Quisberth earned her first coach of the year award as she charged her team to a 16-8 record and a second-place conference standing (11-3 3C2A WSC North). SBCC achieved six all-conference players and took down conference-leading Moorpark to claim a semifinal appearance in the state tournament.
Quisberth began her time at SBCC in 2022 as an assistant coach for the women's volleyball program – a role she would serve through the 2025 season. In 2022, the Vaqueros saw a conference championship and a 23-5 record which was the fourth-most wins in program history. From 2022-25, Quisberth aided in the development of 22 all-conference players, two conference liberos of the year and one conference player of the year.
Quisberth had a successful run with the UC Santa Barbara (UCSB) men's club volleyball team, moving from head coach of the B team to the A team in 2018. That year, she guided the Gauchos to the NCVF Division 3 National Championship. The following season, UCSB-A ranked No. 1 nationally all year, won the SCCVL League and MLK Classic championships, and Quisberth was named NCVF Men's Division 1 Coach of the Year. In 2022, UCSB-A again ranked No. 1 nationally once more, won the MLK Classic and captured the NCVF Division 1 National Championship.
As a player, Quisberth was a four-year starter at The Catholic University of America (CUA) in Washington, D.C. During her tenure, CUA made it to the conference tournament every year, including a finals appearance her junior year. As team captain her senior season, Quisberth was named second team all-conference and the Landmark Conference Scholar Athlete for Volleyball.
Quisberth earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 2014 and a M.S. in molecular and microbial biology in 2015. She completed her Ph.D. in molecular, cellular and development biology at UCSB in 2022.
