
Cardinals Set for Bradley Pink Classic

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State cross country team will head to Peoria, Illinois on Friday, October 13th for the Bradley Pink Classic. The Women's White Race is set to start at 2:15 p.m. CT and the Women's Red Race is set for 3:45 p.m. CT.
Carly Spletzer will look to continue her success, coming off a personal best 6k time of 21:41 at the Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational. Spletzer led the team, followed by Sarah Mahnensmith and Shelby Christman.
Maci Hoskins and Kendyl Thrasher are also coming off personal-best performances, Hoskins finishing in 23:51 and Thrasher finishing in 24:14.
Two Cardinals, Ashley Craycraft and Kendyl Thrasher, will compete in the White Race. Following, Sarah Mahnensmith, Shelby Christman, Carly Spletzer, Maci Hoskins, Jessica Velez and Ella Fullmer will represent the Cardinals in the Red Race.
There will be 59 teams in attendance on Friday, including MAC foes, Central Michigan, Northern Illinois and Western Michigan. The team will meet a few past competitors as well, such as Chicago State, DuPage, Illinois State, Lindenwood, North Central (Ill.) and Northwestern.
Following Friday's meet, the team will prepare for the MAC Cross Country Championships which is set to take place on Saturday, October 28th in Bowling Green, Ohio.
