Ball State Finishes Fifth, Kim Ties for 11th

HOLLAND, Ohio – The Ball State women's golf team closed out the 2021-22 campaign at the Stone Oak Country Club for the final round of the 2022 Mid-American Conference Championship on Sunday. The Cardinals came in fifth and were led by Liz Kim who tied for 11th.
For the second straight season, Kim was named the MAC Sportswoman of the Year. The Sportswoman Award is voted on by the participants at the championship. This award shall recognize the player whom players enjoy playing or conversing with; has good rapport with her own team; is supportive of her own team, but also respects the competition; makes players feel comfortable to be around her; commands respect and esteem rather than merely being popular, and one would consider to be worthy of representing women's intercollegiate golf to others.
Kim posted an 81 (+9) with two birdies for the final round. Her three-round score of 231 (+15) earned her a tie for 11th. She tied for third in the tournament with nine birdies.
With a final-round score of 80 (+8), Dylann Armstrong recorded a tournament mark of 233 (+17). She ended the tournament tied for 14th. She notched one birdie for the round today and tallied nine birdies to tie for third most for the championship.
Kiah Parrott posted her lowest round of the tournament with a 74 (+2). She collected two birdies on the day and compiled six for the championship. She finished tied for 20th with a total of 235 (+19).
Tiegan Taylor moved up seven spots on the leaderboard and finished tied for 32nd. She recorded her best round with a 79 (+7) on Sunday. She picked up one birdie for the tournament.
Kent State won its 23rd-straight MAC Championship. Jasmine Ly of Northern Illinois won the individual title and was the lone golfer to finish under par at 215 (-1).
