Ball State heads to Puerto Rico for Dorado Beach Collegiate

Cardinals head out of country for second meet of the spring
MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State men's golf team is set to take its talents outside the country boarders to Dorado, Puerto Rico for the Dorado Beach Collegiate, Feb. 27-March 1. The three-day event, hosted by UNCG, features one round per day at the par-72 Dorado Beach Resort and Club Sugarcane Course.
The Cardinals are part of a 13-team field that includes Army, Campbell, Drexel, Elon, George Mason, James Madison, Old Dominion, Rutgers, UNCG, VCU, Virginia Tech and Wofford.
Ball State will field a six-man lineup of Kash Bellar, Griffin Hare, Ali Khan, Colin Nasser, Joey Ranieri and Joey Wiseman throughout the competition.
The Cardinals recently wrapped up their first tournament of the spring season, picking up a pair of wins at the Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play. Ball State and Xavier tied 3-3, but the Cardinals won by more holes (six) than the Musketeers (three). Ball State then took down Loyola, 3.5-2.5, in the final match.
Following the Dorado Beach Collegiate, the Cardinals head west for the GCU Invitational, March 14-15, in Phoenix, Ariz.
