Seventy-Five Cardinals Set to Earn a Degree in Spring Commencement Ceremonies

MUNCIE, Ind. - - As an unprecedented academic year comes to a close, Ball State Athletics is excited to celebrate the 75 student-athletes who are preparing for this weekend's commencement ceremonies.

All of Ball State's 19 varsity sports are represented on the list below, which recognizes the student-athletes who are receiving either their bachelor's, master's or graduate certificate.

The Cardinals are coming off a record-breaking performance in the classroom after finishing the 2020 Fall Semester with a department-record 3.38 term grade point average. Almost 60 percent of Ball State's student-athletes (260) earned a spot on the Dean's List, with 72 Cardinals finishing the fall semester with a 4.0 term GPA.

In accordance with state and local guidelines, Ball State University will hold a series of smaller, outdoor Commencement ceremonies this year which begins Friday, May 7, for graduate school candidates (Doctoral, Specialist, and Master's) and Saturday, May 8 for bachelor's and associate candidates.

All ceremonies will be held outdoors at Scheumann Stadium, rain, or shine. These ceremonies have been organized by college to allow Ball State to abide by necessary physical distancing.
