
Men’s Volleyball Returns Home to Host Urbana and Daemen

MUNCIE, Ind. – After a long six-match road trip, the Ball State men's volleyball team returns to Worthen Arena this week when it hosts Urbana on Thursday and Daemen on Saturday.

ABOUT URBANA (0-10)
The Blue Knights are still searching for their first win in program history as the team is in its inaugural season. Jack Brinkman leads Urbana with 103 kills on the season and is followed by Tyler Chavez who has 65.
SERIES HISTORY
This is the first ever meeting between Urbana and Ball State.
ABOUT DAEMEN (3-4)
The Wildcats are in their second season in program history and enter Saturday with a 3-4 record after going 6-17 in 2019. Zach Schneider and Zach Yerington own 57 and 53 kills, respectively, to lead Daemen on the year.

Saturday marks the first meeting between the Cardinals and Wildcats.
BALL STATE STORYLINES
PERFECT IN PENNSYLVANIA: The Cardinals played two perfect matches on their road trip to Pennsylvania last weekend. The first was a 3-0 sweep at No. 7 Penn State, followed by a victory over Saint Francis in straight sets the very next night.
HOMECOMING: After a long, six-match road trip, Ball State finally returns to the friendly confines of Worthen Arena. The Cardinals split their road trip with a 3-3 record. BSU is a perfect 2-0 at home this season.
NO MIDDLE GROUND: All of Ball State's matches this season have gone either three or five sets. The Cardinals have yet to play any four-set contests. BSU is 4-1 in matches played in just three sets and 1-2 in games that go all five.
FIRST MEETING: Ball State's contests with Urbana and Daemen are the first in school history. 2020 marks the first season in program season for Urbana while Daemen is in just its second season as a men's volleyball program.
