Women’s Tennis Heads To Purdue For First Fall Tourney
September 19, 2019 | Women's Tennis
MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's tennis team begins its fall schedule Friday at the Purdue Invitational. The three-day event will feature 11 teams and will be held at the Schwartz Tennis Center.
The action begins each day at 9 a.m. Joining the Cardinals and the Boilermakers are Louisville, UConn, DePaul, Northern Illinois, Wright State, Eastern Michigan, Miami, Cincinnati and Lipscomb.
After this weekend's play, the Cardinals will host the Bethany Moore Invite (Oct. 4-5) named in honor of 2016 graduate Bethany Moore who helped Ball State to that year's MAC championship and the program's first NCAA Tournament berth. Moore tragically lost her life after a 2017 car accident in Hamilton County. The Cardinals dedicated a bench in her honor last spring at Cardinal Creek Tennis Center.
