MIVA foe McKendree, No. 13 George Mason set to Visit Muncie

MUNCIE, Ind. – The No.11 Ball State men's volleyball team continues conference play on Thursday when McKendree comes to town, and then welcomes nationally ranked George Mason on Sunday for a battle of top-15 opponents.

ABOUT MCKENDREE (3-4)

McKendree enters Thursday's contest looking to get to .500 for the year. Last time out, the Bearcats downed Alderson Broaddus, 3-0. Thursday marks the MIVA opener for McKendree, which will be led by Patrick Ross who has 55 kills on the year.

SERIES HISTORY

Ball State leads the series with McKendree by a count of 8-3. The Cardinals and Bearcats last met in April of 2018 when BSU swept the match, 3-0.

ABOUT GEORGE MASON (7-1)

George Mason will take on Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday night before Sunday's matchup, but enters as the No. 13 team in the country. The Patriots lone loss came to top-5 UC Irvine, but they also hold a win over then-ranked Ohio State. GMU is perfect on the road with a 4-0 record and is paced by 129 kills from Hayden Wagner.

SERIES HISTORY

The Patriots and Cardinals have a long history of meetings and Ball State holds a 43-28 advantage. George Mason won the last meeting between the two programs, 3-1, in January of last year.
