TIME FOR TIP-OFF
 - John E. Worthen Arena has been very good to the Cardinals for over a decade. Ball State has a record of 133-67 (.665) at Worthen Arena from 2004-present.
- Ball State fell to the Chippewas in its first meeting in Mount Pleasant, Mich., by a score of 81-63 on Feb. 6.Â
- Wednesday's game against Central Michigan will mark the 79th time the teams have met, with the Chippewas leading the all-time series record, 41-37.
- Central Michigan's current head coach Sue Guevara was once a Cardinal. Guevara got her first full-time assistant coaching job when Ball State hired her in 1985. Guevara spent one season with the Cardinals, 1985-86, before spending 10 seasons at Michigan State.
-Ball State's largest win streak against Central Michigan was 11 from 2000 thru 2006.
- After tonight's competition the Cardinals have only three games left of MAC regular season action. For the first time in seven years under Sallee, the Cardinals will play their first round Mid-American Conference Tournament game on the road. If the tournament were to start today, Ball State would play at Northern Illinois.
- CMU is currently riding a four-game win streak into Worthen Arena and stands in first play in the MAC West Division.
ABOUT CENTRAL MICHIGAN
- Central Michigan is currently ranked 23 in the latest RPI and holds the highest ranking out of any Mid-American Conference women's basketball program. Miami is next on the list at 43.
- The Chippewas Reyna Frost currently stands in 13th place in the nation in Scoring (21.2) and Presly Hudson stands in 15th in the country in scoring averaging 20.9 points per contest.
- Sue Guevara is in her 11th year at the helm of the Chippewas. Guevara led Central Michigan to its first-ever NCAA Sweet 16 appearance last year and ended the season ranked 20th in the final Associated Press Top 25 poll.Â
- Currently Central Michigan has three players averaging double figures, Reyna Frost (21.2), Presley Hudson (20.9) ad Micaela Kelly (13.5). Defensively, Frost is averaging 13.4 rebounds per game which is good for second in the nation.
NEXT UP FOR THE CARDINALS
- The Cardinals suffered a heartbreaking loss last Saturday in Worthen Arena to Toledo. Nakeya Penny made a last second shot at the buzzer to give Ball State the win but didn't get it off in time unfortunately and Ball State would lose a hard fought battle to Toledo, 63-62. Ball State is looking for its first win since Kent State on Jan. 23.
- Ball State has three Mid-American Conference regular season games left after tonight's contest against CMU. The Cardinals will play a doubleheader with the Ball State men's basketball team on the road at Western Michigan Saturday, March 2. After that, Ball State will continue its two-game road swing at Northern Illinois Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the Convocation Center. The Cardinals dropped both of their contests at home to the Broncos (65-62) and Huskies (93-83). After that, Ball State returns home for its regular season finale Saturday, March 9 against Eastern Michigan at 2 p.m.
