MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State women's basketball head coach Brady Sallee announced today the addition of transfer Faith Walker (York, Pa./West York) to the Cardinals' roster for the 2026-27 season. Walker, a versatile forward who spent her previous seasons at Duquesne University, will join the program with immediate eligibility.
"We are thrilled to welcome Faith to our Ball State family," Sallee said. "Her length, versatility and competitiveness on both ends of the floor were exactly what we targeted! It was evident from the moment she made it to campus that she was a great fit to our championship culture! We are looking forward to coaching Faith, and I cannot wait for our fans to get to know her."
An established force in the Atlantic 10, Walker brings a versatile combination of size, athleticism, and veteran experience to the Mid-American Conference. Over 64 games at Duquesne, she evolved from a shutdown freshman defender into a multifaceted threat. Her debut season featured a standout 10-point, five-rebound performance against La Salle and showcased her range with nine successful three-pointers.
As a sophomore, Walker demonstrated consistent growth across all statistical categories, including points, rebounds, and assists, while maintaining efficiency from the field. She also collected 16 steals and was the primary defender for the Dukes' last season.
Prior to Duquesne, Walker was a standout player at West York High School helping the Bulldogs to 34 wins in three seasons. She assisted West York High School in making an Elite 8 appearance at the state playoffs and was an honored as a three-time nominee for Miss PA award for the best female player in the state of Pennsylvania. Her sophomore season she received All-State honors. Walker, a two-time All-County recipient in both basketball and volleyball also became a finalist for the YAIAA (York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association) Athlete of the Year.
Walker joins recent signee Helen Holley (Cleveland, Ohio) along with early commits Lillian Barnes (Valparaiso, Ind.) and Dutch standout Klaske Miedema.
