NOTES
- The Cardinals will play their next two Mid-American Conference games on the road starting with today's contest against Buffalo. Ball State and Buffalo will meet each other twice this season just 14 days apart as the Cardinals will host the Bulls on Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. in Worthen Arena.
- Ball State lost to Buffalo in last year's lone matchup in Muncie by a score of 84-80.
- The Cardinals own a 2-1 record entering today's league contest with their only win being against Bowling Green. Ball State hasn't started league play off 1-2 since the 2010-11 season.
- Ball State enters today's game third in the MAC in field goal percentage at (.456) and second in defensive rebounds (34.3). Sophomore forward Oshlynn Brown is third in the MAC in rebounds (10.7).
-Today's game against Buffalo will mark the 28th time in program history the two schools have met with the Cardinals leading the all-time series, 15-12. The Cardinals have won three of the four last regular season meetings against the Bulls including the last time Ball State was at Buffalo, resulting in a 89-75 victory for the Cardinals.Â
- Freshman forward Thelma Dis Agustsdottir who is from Keflavik, Iceland sure warmed things up in Worthen Arena Wednesday in the Cardinals 77-70 victory over Bowling Green. Agustsdottir registered a career high 23 points on 80 percent (8-of-10) shooting from the floor. Sophomore forward Oshlynn Brown had her fourth double-double of the season after scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. The inside duo combined for 45 points. The duo continued to play well beside each other against Ohio Saturday, Agustsdottir chipped in 13 points and Brown pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds. For the week, the Cardinals had three players average double figures with Agustsdottir leading the way averaging 18.0 points pergame. Brown averaged a double-double with 14.5 ppg and 11.5 rbg. Sopohomore guard Maliah Howard-Bass rounded out the double figure scoring with 10.0 points per contest.
- In the last two game freshman forward Thelma Dis Agustsdottir has found her stroke from behind the arc. Agustsdottir shot a staggering 70 percent (14-of-20) from the field last week and 80 percent (4-of-5) from behind the arc.
- The Ball State women's basketball team has played a total of 9 times on Jan. 16. The last time the Cardinals played on this date was in 2015-16 which resulted in a 67-56 at Bowling Green. The Cardinals and Buffalo have never met on this date.

- Buffalo is on a two-game win streak after defeating Eastern Michigan in overtime (91-84) and then Miami (66-59). The Bulls only loss of the came against Ohio in its conference opener in University Arena by a score of 74-71. The Cardinals have not lost at Buffalo since the 2014-15 season.
- The Bulls have three players averaging, Cierra Dillard (25.9 ppg), Summer Hemphill (12.0 ppg) and Theresa Onwuka (10.8 ppg). Defensively, Buffalo is led by Hemphill who is averaging 7.8 rebounds per contesT.
- The Bulls are led by Felisha Legette-Jack who is in her seventh season at the helm of the Buffalo women's basketball program. She was named the 12th head coach in UB women's basketball history on June 14, 2012. Prior to her arrival at Buffalo, Legette-Jack spent six years as the head coach of Indiana University. She is a 1989 graduate of Syracuse University and played for years for the Orange women.
