
Men’s Tennis Named An ITA Academic Team

MUNCIE, Ind. - The 2017-18 Ball State University men's tennis team was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team after earning a 3.35 grade point average on Ball State's 4.0 scale. This marks the sixth straight year the Cardinals have earned the team honor.
In addition, seven members of the squad received individual ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades—freshman Chris Adams (4.00), junior Conner Andersen (3.83), freshman Bryce Bonin (3.55), junior Nemanja Guzina (3.69), junior Marko Guzina (3.60), senior Coling Rigney (3.77) and sophomore Luke Wiese (3.81).
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letterwinners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year (including fall 2017 and spring 2018).
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsityletterwinner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters (including freshman through senior year).
