Guerrero Named to USC All-Midwest Region Third Team

MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State soccer senior midfielder Paula Guerrero has been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region Third Team.
Guerrero is fresh off her senior season in which she led Ball State to a 14-3-3 record and an appearance in the Mid-American Conference championship game. The Valencia, Spain native also helped the Cardinals to a school record nine-straight wins.
"This recognition is duly deserved," said coach Craig Roberts. "Paula has been committed to advancing her level of play over the years. This hard work has paid off. I'm delighted for her."

All three of Guerrero's career goals occurred during her senior campaign. Guerrero's first career goal was scored on senior night in a 3-1 victory over Omaha. Goals two and three came in the opening round of the MAC Tournament when she buried a PK against Buffalo and then scored the game winner in double overtime on a free kick that hit the crossbar and deflected in.
In addition to her three goals, Guerrero led the Cardinals in assists with five on the year. She was second on the team in total points with 11.
