Muncie, Ind. - Senior forward Moriah Monaco posted a 29-point, 10 rebound effort to lead Ball State (17-3, 6-3 MAC) to an 81-72 Mid-American Conference victory over Northern Illinois (10-10, 2-7 MAC) Saturday evening in Worthen Arena.
Monaco's double-double was her second straight and fourth of the season. Senior guard Frannie Frazier contributed 14 points on the day, while junior guard Carmen Grande recorded her eighth double-double of the year after chipping in 11 points and dishing out 12 assists. In addition, junior guard Jasmin Samz also scored in double figures with 10 points. Defensively, freshman forward Oshlynn Brown pulled down a game high 15 rebounds just one shy of her career best.
