About the Cardinals
Ball State is coming off a 10th-place finish in its opening event of the season at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate. There were ups and downs for each player in the lineup during a volatile three days on a difficult golf course.
The Cardinals counted scores as low as 70 (Johnny Watts' opening round) and as high as 83 throughout the three rounds. Timothy Wiseman was the team's steadiest player on his way to a tie for 23rd place, while Watts was close behind him in a tie for 26th.
Ball State will take the same five golfers to Richmond, Kentucky, this weekend, looking for more consistent play across the board. Colin Proctor joins the mix as the team's individual competitor.
At the EKU Intercollegiate
Ball State will be competing at the EKU Intercollegiate for the first time. The host Colonels won last season in the first year of the event.
Coming Up
The Cardinals will continue a busy opening stretch Sept. 24-26 when they head to Dallas for the Trinity Forest Invitational. A strong national field awaits at the event hosted by SMU.
