Men’s Golf Finishes 10th at Wolf Run

Timothy Wiseman leads Cardinals in tie for 23rd
ZIONSVILLE, Ind. -- Timothy Wiseman paced the Ball State men's golf team with a 74 (+3) in Sunday's final round at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate.
The junior from Corydon, Indiana, finished as the top Ball State player on the final leaderboard in a tie for 23rd place with a three-day total of 225 (+12). Johnny Watts (+14) was two shots behind him in a tie for 26th, while Michael VanDeventer (+18) also finished among the top half of the field in a tie for 41st.
Ball State closed out its first event of the season in 10th place out of 16 teams at Wolf Run Golf Club. The Cardinals posted a team score of 308 in the final round to finish at 913 (+61).
Kentucky pulled ahead Sunday to win the team championship by six strokes over Miami University with a 54-hole total of 872 (+20).
Miami had the top two finishers on the individual leaderboard with medalist Patrick Flavin (-2) and teammate Brian Ohr (-1) finishing as the only players in red figures.
Ball State will return to action this week, visiting Richmond, Kentucky, for the EKU Intercollegiate. The action begins Saturday at The University Club at Arlington.
