Action gets underway with 36 holes Friday
The Ball State men's golf team returns to action Friday at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate in North Carolina.
Originally scheduled as a three-day event, the schedule has been altered because of the forecast for cold weather and snow Sunday. The teams will now play 36 holes Friday, starting with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, and the final 18 Saturday. All rounds will be played on Pinehurst No. 8.
Live scoring will be available for Saturday's final round at golfstat.com but not for Friday's action.
The 15-team field also includes Xavier, Morehead State, Longwood, Dayton, Northern Kentucky, Boston College, Belmont, Wisconsin Lutheran, Elon, Marshall, Siena, Old Dominion and Radford.
Ball State's lineup will feature Michael VanDeventer, Johnny Watts, Michael Makris, Timothy Wiseman and Keegan McKinney. Blake Vise will compete as an individual.
The Cardinals last played three weeks ago down in Florida when they hosted the Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play. This week's action will be their first stroke play event of the spring.
