WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - - The Ball State cross country team placed fifth among the six Big School Teams in Friday's three-mile championship race of the Indiana Intercollegiate at Purdue's Boilermaker Cross Country Course.

Indiana won the meet with its five scored runners combining for 19 points. Purdue was second with 43 points, followed by IUPUI (105), Indiana State (117), Ball State (137) and Evansville (143).

Junior Danielle Dahl (Chelsea, Mich./Chelsea) was the Cardinals third-fastest runner at the event, placing 39th overall with a time of 19:39.1.
