Ball State and Indiana State will write another chapter in the longest men's basketball rivalry in school history Saturday afternoon at Worthen Arena.
The Cardinals and Sycamores will meet for the 129th time in a series that dates all the way back to 1922. There is no team Ball State has played more often.
Saturday's game is part of a doubleheader and Toys for Tots Military and Public Safety Appreciation Day. The Ball State women's team slated to host Oakland following the men's game.
Fans displaying a valid military or public safety I.D. will receive complimentary admission for the doubleheader, while each fan who donates a toy can purchase a $10 general admission ticket good for both games.
Both Ball State (2-3) and Indiana State (3-4) are looking for bounce back performances after Wednesday night losses. The Cardinals struggled through a tough shooting night in a 61-54 loss at Eastern Illinois, while Indiana State suffered a 77-54 setback at home against Butler.
Ball State is looking to snap a three-game losing streak in the series with Indiana State and regain its home court excellence against the Sycamores. ISU's win two seasons ago in Muncie was its first in 10 tries inside Worthen Arena.
