Coers Invitational Up Next for Men's S&D

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State men's and women's swimming and diving team will host the ninth annual Doug Coers Invitational this Friday, Nov. 16 and Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Lewellen Aquatic Center. The men came in second last season, tallying 553.5 points.
The two-day event begins on Friday at 6 p.m., and there will be two sessions on Saturday, at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Diving will run concurrently with the swimming events on Friday and will take place at 1 p.m., on Saturday. The University of Findlay, Grand Valley State University and Bellarmine University will be among the teams competing.
Last season, diver Jake Brehmer (Valparaiso, Ind./Chesterton) swept the diving competitions, earning first in the 1M with a score of 233.60 and in the 3M with a mark of 213.45. Current MAC Swimmer of the Week Michael Weber (Lorain, Ohio/Elyria Catholic) teamed up with Gavin McNeeley (North Manchester, Ind./Manchester), Chris Krupa (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) and Casey Schroeder (Williamsport, Ind./Seeger Memorial to take the 200 free relay.
