Swimming Earns Championship Finish and Program Record on Finals Day of CSCAA NIC

OCALA, Fla. – Ball State swimming wrapped up the 2026 CSCAA National Invitational Championships Saturday evening with a championships performance and program record at the FAST (Florida Aquatics swimming & Training).
Anna Keen ended her sophomore campaign with a first-place finish in the 100 individual medley with a time of 54.35. Keen's time in the finals also achieved a meet record.
Alexa Von Holtz and Reagan Graves made appearances in the finals of the 200 butterfly, with Von Holtz placing sixth (1:59.65) and Graves earning 15th (2:01.18).
In the mile, freshman Addy Czarmecki placed 17th with a time of 16:52.80. Her 1000 split of 10:01.89 stands as the second-fastest in program history.
Also in the 1650 free was Callie Tuma, who placed 22nd with a time of 15:55.65.
The women's team closed competition in the 400 freestyle relay as the team of Keen, Ava Butterfield, Czarnecki and Graves combined for a time of 3:24.72 to finish 24th.
On the men's side, AJ Friend set a program record in the finals of the 200 butterfly as he placed fourth with a time of 1:46.88. Henry Ko followed in 13th with a time of 1:47.96.
George Patterson qualified for the finals of the 100 individual medley, touching the wall at 50.21 to place 17th.
In the men's 400 freestyle relay, Patterson, Friend, Malcolm Slater and William Raches teamed up to finish seventh with a time of 2:56.29.
As the Ball State swimming & diving program enters preparations for next season's competitions, senior Payton Kelly makes one final stop at the 2026 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (March 18-21) as she competes in the 50 freestyle.
