Cross Country Competes In Indiana Invitational; No Team Scoring

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Ball State women's cross country team opened the 2007 season by competing in the Indiana Invitational. Four teams including Ball State, Indiana, Michigan and IUPUI participated in the non-scoring meet.
Leading the way for the Ball State was sophomore Ali Bishel. Bishel placed fifth in the contest finishing with a time of 18:24. Vanessa Gilbert was the next Cardinal to finish. Gilbert placed 11th and finished with a time of 19:17.
Sophomores Sarah Kehe (18th, 19:37) Lisa Arrowsmith (19th, 19:38) and Brittany Ade (20th, 19:43) rounded out the top 20.
Michigan's Erin Webster won the meet with a time of 17:38.
Ball State returns to action Sept. 14, to compete in the Indiana Intercollegiates held in West Lafayette, Ind.
